I am a retired trial attorney. Had a very large and lucrative practice. There is no way I could have provided a fraction of the services provided by a pre-paid legal plan. My clients paid between $250-$300 per hour for telephone consultation, letters and phone calls to third parties, wills, assistance with traffic tickets, etc. Of course, I am glad that my cliets were not members of a pre-paid plan....but now that I am retired, I see the wisdom and the future of such plans, which have no jurisdictional limits (I was only licensed in one state). Most of the common, everday issues can be addressed through a pre-paid legal attorney network. I happen to be a member of one, nothwithstanding my background as an attorney.
