There was a class action lawsuit and they are no reporting. Before that I would not use a Capital One card for that reason and I am still holding off on getting one until I know they are truly playing fair with reporting consumers credit limits. So they were hit hard during the 2007 subprime mortgage financial crisis. As most consumer lenders in the past 20 years have either gone out of business or have been acquired, Capital One is now a ripe acquisition target.
