Fortunately Capital One now is required to report the credit limits. There was a class action lawsuit and they are no reporting. Before that I would not use a Capital One card for that reason and I am still holding off on getting one until I know they are truly playing fair with reporting consumers credit limits.

Capital One is mainly or solely in the business of consumer lending and retail banking (mainly auto loans). So they were hit hard during the 2007 subprime mortgage financial crisis.

As most consumer lenders in the past 20 years have either gone out of business or have been acquired, Capital One is now a ripe acquisition target.

Has anyone got a few billions to spare? :P
