A business plan/model is really important. At the planning stage, there should also be goals or targets set for everybody – from the big boss down to the rank & file posts. It’s going to entail a lot for everybody but I would also agree that it’s going to be a big help to get professional assistance from CPAs or small business accountants.

I agree that business plan should be prepared by professionals. This is extremely important for those who are just starting and do not have exprience in accounting and planning. Also I would suggest everybody to be deeply involved in business planning process, but not just get results and act on them. Deep involvement will allow you to understand what objectives you must set up and meet in order to succeed.

what about starting a LLC?

I know you can’t get investors when you are a LLC but are there any other ways to get funding?

I see everyone here already agree that business plan in vital to start a business. But before we have business play we should have mission and vision first. What we want to achieve in next 10 years. Then We should create plan based on our mission and vision.
