If you spend %30 a week on fuel it will sum up to %1500 an year, so saving money on fuel won?t be a bad idea. Increasing fuel efficiency isn?t that tough as people think of it. First of all you should keep track of your weekly mileage and the amount you paid for it, here are some quick tips at hand for increasing fuel efficiency:
Track of car Momentum: Upcoming road scanning and anticipation of the slow and fast road portions contributes a lot in fuel saving and better performance of your car, frequent slowing down and speeding up reduces the fuel efficiency.
Regular Cleaning of Converters and Filters: Dirty filters increase the engine work to a high extent increasing fuel consumption. Whereas converters and filters are cheap to get and easily replaceable.
Lesser weight easy life: Weight that is unnecessary should be avoided like racks and any other rarely used heavy items, soon you will know that a mere fifty or hundred pounds removal can do a lot to your fuel economy.
Least Drag: Most of the people think that they can save fuel by rolling down windows instead of using the car air conditioning. But they are living in the fools heaven, the huge amount of drag introduced to the motion of the car makes the engine put in extra thrust to maintain the velocity. This fact has been proved scientifically that windows down and a/c turned off vehicles are less fuel efficient then the vehicle having windows shut and a/c turned on.
Keep an eye on tires: Always check the tires pressure, under inflated tires increase the area in contact, hence increasing the friction between road and tires resulting in higher fuel consumption.
Hybrid models: Current Fuel economy marathon has pushed us to see other ways then the conventional cars, latest hybrid models of cars have a stunning decrease in fuel consumption rate. Paying a little more for the hybrid make is worth it as dictated by the fuel saving you will get every time you pump fuel.
These very simple but efficient tips can help you saving pennies every time you grab your wallet to pay for the fuel you pumped.

There was a very interesting test recently where a group found that a car covered in golf ball sized divots was more fuel efficient than a smooth surface. Fuel efficiency is one area that is hard for me since I drive often in rush hour and the surfaces are all flat.
Fuel is one of the areas where most people could save lots of money if they used just a few percent on their yearly fuel bill. Another interesting area is air-conditioning, versus the extra drag of having your windows open. Aircon is worse, but only just and only at certain speeds…
